What we fix most often
Most dresses need one or two small changes to look made for you. A hem taken up so the dress hits the right spot for your heels. Side seams taken in so the waist is defined instead of loose. Straps shortened so the neckline stops slipping. Sleeves shortened or tapered. A broken or stiff zip replaced with a smooth new one. If a dress has become snug, Pooja checks the seam allowance and lets it out where the fabric allows.
How a fitting works
Bring the shoes you plan to wear, or tell Pooja the heel height. She pins the dress on you, marks the hem and seams, and talks you through what will change before any cutting. Delicate fabrics like chiffon, satin and stretch knits are hemmed by hand or with the right stitch, so the finish stays soft and invisible from the outside.
Turnaround
Most dress alterations are ready in about a week, often sooner. If you have an event coming up, rush service in 24 hours (+20%) or 12 hours (+30%) is available depending on the schedule.
Drop-off, pickup or a fitting at home
Drop off near Derry Rd and Mavis Rd in Mississauga. Pickup and delivery is complimentary when your alterations come to $150 or more, within 20 km. Prefer to try it on at home? A home fitting is $40 within 30 km.

How much does it cost to hem a dress?
A simple dress hem is $30 (about $27 with the 10% launch offer when you book online). Lined, layered, maxi or very full skirts are quoted after fitting.
Can you take in a dress that is too big?
Yes. Take-ins are quoted after fitting, because the price depends on the fabric, the lining and how much needs to change. Pooja confirms the price before any work starts.
Do I need to bring shoes to the fitting?
It helps. The hem length depends on your heel height, so bring the shoes or tell Pooja the height.
