Hems for every shape

A pencil skirt hem is straightforward, while pleated skirts are hemmed from the waist or let down at the pleats so they keep their fall. Maxi and tiered skirts take more time because of the fabric. Pooja checks the length with you standing, so it hits just where you want it.

Waist and fit

Skirts that slide down are taken in at the waist or side seams. Snug skirts can be let out where there is seam allowance. A slit can be added or closed for comfort when walking, and a broken zip is replaced with one that matches the colour.

Prices

Skirt hems, take-ins, let-outs, slits and zips are quoted after fitting, because pleats, linings and fabric change the work. A zip itself adds $10 to $20 depending on the zip. Pooja confirms the price before any work starts, and booking online takes 10% off the alteration price.

Turnaround and pickup

Usually about a week, often sooner, with rush in 24 or 12 hours when you need it. Drop off near Derry and Mavis in Mississauga or ask for pickup: complimentary when alterations come to $150 or more, within 20 km. Home fittings are $40 within 30 km.
