Sleeves first

The most common change is sleeve length. On a blazer the sleeve should show a little of your blouse cuff. Lined sleeves are shortened from the cuff and the lining is reattached so it hangs cleanly, keeping working buttons where possible.

Shape and comfort

Jackets can be taken in at the back and side seams for a closer silhouette. Coats can be shortened at the hem. Torn linings are repaired or replaced, buttons are replaced or reinforced, and zips on coats and denim jackets can be swapped for new heavy-duty ones.

Prices

Sleeves, take-ins, hems, buttons, linings and zips are quoted after fitting, because construction varies a lot between a light blazer and a winter coat. Pooja confirms the price before any work starts. Book online and the 10% launch offer comes off the alteration price.

Before the season changes

Coats are busiest in early fall. Bring them in a few weeks before the cold arrives. Drop off near Derry and Mavis, or ask for pickup: complimentary when alterations come to $150 or more, within 20 km. Home fittings are $40 within 30 km.
